    The Media Division is looking for a web-savvy, solution-oriented business analyst to collaborate with multiple Media division product owners and digital publishing development teams working on the evolution of both the backend data processing and front user experience of our digital platforms. This role will work with product owners and development teams to refine designs, properly scope and document epic/feature requirements and decompose those requirements to right-sized and consumable stories with clear acceptance criteria.

    Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Requirements gathering, through workshops, interviewing and other techniques
    • Documentation of requirements, features and user stories
    • Working with various teams on user experience, information architecture, user personas and user journeys, UI sketches and wireframes
    • Capturing of acceptance criteria, specification of test cases and conditions
    • Work with the solution designers and business to understand the use cases
    • Creation of tickets and documentation to reference bugs, change requests and epics. Ability to manage scope and prioritize
    • Break down high-level designs and epics into smaller, manageable  subtasks and deliverables with the different teams involved
    • Answer inquiries and tickets from internal customers/stakeholders
    • Identify and reference processes and functions requiring automation
    • Build tools to automate and streamline processes
    • Preparation and delivery of user training
    • Supervision of QA test execution activities
    • Internal question and answer on features and application behaviours
    • Extensive client-facing interactions
    • Incorporate security and Non-Functional Requirements as part of the use cases being delivered
    • Work on data migration strategy
    • Work with Testing teams to create functional and regression testing plan
    • Engage relevant stakeholders to work out operational readiness, DR strategy, and final cut-over strategy
    • Deliver defined results within required constraints (time, budget, scope)
    • Other duties as assigned


    • 3+ years of BA experience
    • Digital publishing platforms (Drupal preferred): 2 years
    • Monitoring to track bugs, fixes and patches: 1 year
    • Agile, DevOps and/or ITIL: 1 year
    • Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and team orientation
    • Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment, deadlines and new challenges
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Marketing, Business, or Web Technologies or equivalent
    • Capability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
    • Familiarity with standard tools and technologies, such as Jira
    • Have extensive experience with content management systems and digital publishing systems
    • Excellent writing skills
    • Clear understanding of project management principles
    • Solid knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Communication and presentation skills to work effectively with different individuals of varying skill sets, areas of expertise, communication styles and organizational hierarchies
    • Capacity to deliver consistent results while working either independently or in a team
    • Effectively engage in multiple simultaneous assignments
    • Familiarity with test automation concepts and technologies
    • Answer inquiries and tickets from internal customers
    • Troubleshoot tier 1 technical issues
    • Implementing systems within an organization with a focus on Targeted Marketing, pixels/tags, email, SMS, Analytics, Loyalty, Social and SEO


    • Experience with design and implementation of Continuous Delivery and/or DevOps solutions or architecture patterns.
    • Experience with aspects of Mobile development on IOS and Android: Standards compliant HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Bootstrap, jQuery, AngularJS, Node.js, Ember.js, React, Backbone.js
    • Experience consuming SOAP, REST APIs and utilizing JSON for web or mobile applications
    • Experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment and management using Jenkins, Git, Puppet, Chef, Maven, Ant, Ivy, UrbanCode, Docker, or comparable tools.
    • Experience with approaches and tooling for automated build, delivery and release of software
