    OVERVIEW


    As a Front Desk Customer Service Representative, you will be a trusted front-line expert who is empowered to provide information and solutions to existing and potential customers regarding Kitco’s full range of products and services. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, welcome and serve clients at Kitco’s reception area and by serving customers at the Retail Store location/wickets. Furthermore; facilitating the purchase of bullion products, booking of orders, assaying of metals, and answering any questions or concerns raised by our clients.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Provide consistent and professional customer service
    • Serve customers at the Front Desk:
      • Manage the customer flow to the wickets via the Q-Matic system
      • Take orders from walk-in customers at his wicket when needed
    • Follow all Policies and Procedures as outlined in the Refining/PMD Policies and Procedures
    • Ensure that all dealings are done with the level of professionalism as expected from all Kitco employees
    • Communicate issues in a timely manner to Supervisor/ Manager
    • Ensure customer issues are resolved promptly either in person, by phone or email (within 24hrs)
    • Provide customers with current product and service information
    • Assisting Retail Store agents staff with end-of-day balancing duties
    • Assure proper documentation and communication flow
    • Respond to requests from the supervisor/manager accurately and professionally
    • Verify voice mail messages and e-mails frequently
    • Ensure all displays at the Front Desk area are clean and updated with new products, marketing material and that all equipment is working properly (Financial markets screens, Ipad, etc.)
    • Update and ensure accuracy of customer information in our database
    • New account creation (Lead generation initiative)
    • All other tasks as needed

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Fluently bilingual (English/French)
    • Excellent English and French written and verbal communication skills
    • 2 + years of experience as a Receptionist/Customer service representative (would be an asset)
    • Strong customer service skills (Listening, validating and empathizing) Basic understanding of business practices
    • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
    • Creative problem solving, anticipating the unexpected and having solutions readily available
    • Ability to accomplish goals and objectives on time with a focus on quality
    • Possess good judgment and quick thinking
    • Fully proficient with MS Office, Outlook and Excel
    • 3 years of experience as a face to face Customer Service Representative/Receptionist (in Banks or Financial services industry would be an asset)
    • Passionate about helping customers and building lasting relationships
    • Sales- and service-oriented with a demonstrated ability to listen proactively , identify sales opportunities
    • Strong time management, communication and negotiation skills
    • Self-motivated individual and proactive
    • Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
    • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to a constantly changing environment
    • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
    • Positive and energetic attitude
    • Passionate about learning and results oriented

    TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES :

    • Strong Computer/Internet skills (Microsoft Office and Outlook)
